Cosafa confirm host venues

The Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) has confirmed Lusaka, Ndola, Kabwe and Kitwe as host cities for the regional showpiece to be hosted in Zambia from 6th to 21st July.

In a press release made available to fazfootball.com on Thursday, Cosafa outlined the format for this year's competition and indicated that Kenya and Tanzania, both from the Cecafa region, will join Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mauritius and Seychelles in the group phase.
Zambia, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi have been given a bye to the knock-out round.

All group phase matches which will be played from 6th to 11th July will be hosted in Lusaka and Kabwe. The two cities will also host matches at the quarterfinal knock-out stage which will be played as double headers at Nkoloma and Godfrey Chitalu Stadiums on 13th and 14th July.
Kitwe will host matches in the plate category involving four losing teams at the quarter final stage while Ndola will host winners plate at the same stage on 16th and 17th July respectively.
Kitwe will also host the winners plate category semi-final on 18th July while Ndola will host the losers plate category on 20th July.
Matches in the knock-out final phase will be played between 13th and 20th July.
The Cosafa Cup Zambia 2013 draw takes place at the Southern Sun Ridgeway Hotel in Lusaka on Friday 3rd May from 1800hrs CAT. ZNBC TV will broadcast the draw at 2000hrs CAT.
